The Strokes to Tour North America, Europe, and Japan in 2026
Fresh off the announcement of a new album and the release of a new single, The Strokes have just unveiled plans for a 2026 tour on their Instagram account.
Named after their forthcoming album, Reality Awaits, the tour will consist of 37 shows and will kick off on June 12, running until October.
The band shared a poster design as part of the announcement, also revealing the supporting acts that will join them on stage, including Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, Alex Cameron, and Fat White Family.
In a move that generated excitement last week, the group teased fans with a video featuring a 1980s Nissan 300ZX, accompanied by the tagline “in the flesh, it’s even sexier.” The video concluded with the caption “Reality Awaits: The new album by The Strokes.”
Following the album reveal, The Strokes surprised fans with a new single titled “Going Shopping,” released the day after the album announcement.
Set to hit the shelves on June 26, Reality Awaits will mark the band’s seventh studio album, marking their return to a full-length LP after six years.
This previous weekend, frontman Julian Casablancas and the rest of the band delivered a long-awaited performance at Coachella, marking their first appearance at the festival in 15 years.
