Jaco Jaco reveals upcoming album ‘On the Levee’ and debuts single ‘Levee’

Philadelphia-based musician and visual artist Jacob Theriot, known as Jaco Jaco, is set to release a new album titled “On the Levee” on July 10th. The lead single from the album, “Levee,” gives fans a taste of the artist’s latest sonic adventure.

Jaco Jaco’s music is a fusion of funk, psychedelic pop, and ’70s AM rock, creating a unique sound that stands out in the indie music scene. With “On the Levee,” Theriot continues to hone his craft, blending different genres seamlessly while exploring introspective and abstract themes through his lyricism.

The track “Levee” delves into the album’s overarching themes of endurance, change, and finding peace amidst life’s constant movement. Written and produced by Theriot, with additional co-production by collaborator Chad Copelin, “Levee” expands on the vivid and slightly surreal world that Jaco Jaco has become known for—lively and colorful yet grounded in deep reflection.

Following the success of his debut album “Splat” in 2024 and the acclaim for “Gremlin” in 2025 from KEXP, NPR Music, and The Needle Drop, “On the Levee” marks another milestone in Jaco Jaco’s career. The album’s material was largely written and recorded in Philadelphia by Theriot himself, displaying a balance between spontaneity and meticulous attention to detail.
