Paper Mill Playhouse has recently unveiled its lineup for the 2026-2027 season in Millburn, featuring popular shows such as Mary Poppins, Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor, Million Dollar Quartet, and Dear Evan Hansen. These performances will run from November 2026 through June 2027, coinciding with the reconstruction of the theater’s front-of-house and lobby spaces as part of the Next Act Campaign.

The transformative Next Act Campaign, initiated in 2018 and now in its final phase, aims to raise $48.8 million to modernize and renovate Paper Mill’s facilities and campus entirely. The campaign has already led to significant infrastructure improvements, including enhancements to back-of-house facilities, administrative spaces, and parking lots. Notably, the F. M. Kirby Carriage House Restaurant, located on the theater grounds and operated by Paper Mill, is set to open its doors with a grand ceremony on May 6th after undergoing major renovations. The revamped restaurant will feature double the seating capacity, expanded operating hours, and new event spaces for various dining experiences and private rentals.

Mark S. Hoebee, Producing Artistic Director at Paper Mill, emphasized the importance of theater in enriching the lives of its audience members and expressed pride in the upcoming season’s diverse offerings. Complementing Hoebee’s sentiments, Executive Director Mike Stotts expressed gratitude to the local community, public officials, donors, and supporters for their role in transforming Paper Mill into a modern, state-of-the-art cultural hub.

Amidst the renovations, the Paper Mill Playhouse will entertain audiences with a series of performances, including Mary Poppins, Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor, Million Dollar Quartet, and Dear Evan Hansen. These productions promise a range of emotions and experiences, from the whimsical adventures of Mary Poppins to the musical brilliance of Million Dollar Quartet.

Wednesday through Saturday evening performances will commence at 7:30 pm, with Sunday evening shows starting at 7:00 pm, and matinees on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 1:30 pm. Notably, Mary Poppins will offer family-friendly curtain times at 7:00 pm for all evening performances starting November 21. Paper Mill Playhouse offers affordable three- and four-show subscription packages, starting at $120 per person, each including special benefits. Additionally, discounted youth subscriptions are available for individuals aged 18 and under, along with special pricing for patrons requiring accessible services.

Further enriching the theatrical experience, Paper Mill Playhouse continues to engage audiences with its vibrant lineup of shows and commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. As Paper Mill looks ahead to the conclusion of the final phase of the Next Act Campaign, the community eagerly anticipates the unveiling of the renovated facilities and the return to full audience capacity in the 2027-2028 season.
