BOUNDARIES release their latest album “Yearning: the unbeautiful after”
rough the tragic accident that abruptly took the lives of our dear friends, we have been engulfed in a never-ending state of grief and mourning. The latest album, ‘Yearning: the unbeautiful after,’ serves as a reflection of the pain and suffering we have experienced, with ‘Death will follow me’ being just the tip of the iceberg in capturing these emotions,” McDougal stated.
The album, produced by Drew Fulk (known for his work with Knocked Loose and Fit For A King), encapsulates BOUNDARIES at their most relentless, purposeful, and concentrated. Featuring fourteen intense tracks, the album includes guest appearances from Landon Tewers of The Plot In You (“Crowned and crucified”) and Make Them Suffer (“Torn wide open”).
McDougal elaborates on the band’s intention with the record, emphasizing the need to restore the raw authenticity and power that heavy music should embody. “The genre of heavy music often seems to be losing its edge and aggression as time goes by. We aimed to create an album that ignites a sense of urgency and intensity within the listener,” he explains.
The title of the album, “Yearning,” touches on profound questions about life’s purpose and priorities. It prompts listeners to contemplate what truly matters to them and how they choose to invest their time, the most valuable resource. McDougal further explains the significance of the subtitle, “the unbeautiful after,” alluding to the consequences of one’s choices and actions over time. It invites introspection into the paths taken and the outcomes they lead to.
Pre-orders and pre-saves for the album are currently available, offering a range of limited edition vinyl variants, CDs, cassettes, and digital formats. The band’s extensive touring schedule for 2026 includes performances with The Amity Affliction and August Burns Red, as well as appearances at various European festivals like Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Download Festival, Jera on Air, Warped Tour, and Louder Than Life.
BOUNDARIES continues to captivate audiences with their unyielding intensity, profound emotional depth, and relentless dedication to their craft. Having released several critically acclaimed albums and captivating audiences with their powerful live shows, BOUNDARIES has established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the heavy music scene. With their upcoming album, ‘Yearning: the unbeautiful after,’ the band’s evolution and growth promise a compelling and powerful musical experience for both new and existing fans.
