Kris Barras Band’s upcoming album “Monsters We Made” set for August 14th, 2026
s Down”, the band has released a video for the new single “Riot of One”. The song embodies the feeling of facing the world alone and standing tall against adversity. Guitarist and frontman Kris Barras explains that the song started as a musical idea from fellow band member Josiah and evolved into a powerful anthem of resilience.
The Kris Barras Band, led by former MMA fighter Kris Barras, has evolved from its blues roots into a hard rock powerhouse since its formation in 2015. Kris’ talents on the guitar and vocals have garnered attention in the UK blues-rock scene and led him to co-front the LA-based Supersonic Blues Machine with Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. However, Kris has always resisted being pigeonholed by genre expectations.
Their previous album, “Halo Effect” released in 2024, saw the band exploring influences from modern metal and nu-metal, which may have alienated some of their core fans. “Monsters We Made” is Kris’ response to this, aiming for big singalongs, massive riffs, and electrifying solos that belong on arena stages. The band, consisting of Josiah Manning on guitar/keyboard, Frazer Kerslake on bass, and Billy Hammett on drums, has crafted an album that brims with anthemic choruses, blistering guitar solos, and infectious grooves.
Songs like the title track “Monsters We Made” and the emotional ballad “Otherside” showcase the band’s versatility and knack for writing memorable tunes. Kris describes the album as a showcase for his intricate guitar solos that enhance the songs rather than overshadowing them. The album strikes a balance between light and dark, with the band confident in their identity and sound.
Following personal tragedy with the loss of his mother to cancer, Kris used his grief as inspiration for the album, shedding external influences and crafting a record that is both introspective and impactful. He hopes that “Monsters We Made” will appeal to both long-time fans and newcomers alike, uniting them through the band’s music.
With a blend of hard-hitting rock, heartfelt ballads, and virtuosic solos, Kris Barras Band’s “Monsters We Made” promises to be a defining moment in their career. The album showcases a band at the height of their powers, ready to conquer stages and hearts with their music.
Pre-orders for the album are available now, with the official release set for August 14th, 2026. Fans can expect a dynamic and exhilarating musical journey through the highs and lows of life, expertly crafted by Kris Barras Band.
