Preview of Czech Metal Festival Summer 2026: Rock Castle and More
As spring transitions into summer, the European music scene comes alive with a diverse array of rock and metal festivals. Starting the summer festival season is Metalfest Pilsen, scheduled for June 5 – 7, 2026. Jelinek distillery in Vizovice boasts a star-studded lineup headlined by the enigmatic MARILYN MANSON making his Masters of Rock debut. German melodic metal maestros HELLOWEEN commemorating their 40th anniversary, ARCH ENEMY, and IN FLAMES add to the festival’s allure. Notable performances by DIRKSCHNEIDER recreating “Balls to the Wall,” Finnish rockers THE RASMUS, and power metallers ORDEN OGAN ensure a diverse musical experience. Featuring a myriad of acts spanning various genres of metal, tickets for Masters of Rock can be secured for around 145 EUR for a 4-day pass.
Rounding off the Czech festival summer is Rock Castle, set amidst the medieval splendor of Moravsky Krumlov. On August 13 – 15, fireworks are expected with headlining acts like SAVATAGE, returning in grand style, POWERWOLF, ALESTORM, and Zakk Wylde’s BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The festival lineup boasts a mix of established and emerging talent, such as SONATA ARCTICA, NERVOSA, and WARKINGS. Noteworthy additions include US power metallers LORDS OF THE TRIDENT, symphonic metal outfit VISIONS OF ATLANTIS, and AD INFINITUM, promising an unforgettable finale to the festival season.
