Heavy traffic was reported on Interstate 71 North in Columbus, causing significant delays on a Friday morning. The congestion was primarily due to concertgoers heading to the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival. Additionally, a graduation ceremony at Columbus State Community College added to the traffic volume.

Drivers on I-71 North experienced delays of approximately 12 minutes late Friday morning near Historic Crew Stadium, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation’s OHGO traffic map. The congestion was directly linked to Sonic Temple, which was ongoing until May 17. Traffic backups were visible along I-71 North from the Broad Street area through the Interstate 670 interchange and further north towards the Cleveland Avenue and Hudson Street exits, as seen on OHGO traffic cameras.
