For ‘He Without Sin i. Have a Holy Shift’, the track was a sentence that tied DR FAIVRE’s lyrics together of judgment lead to a shift in beliefs. The mosh hit hard towards the end of the song, as ‘He Without Sin ii. Heavier Than Pretext’ followed. The whole crowd was getting involved in the action. ‘He With Sin’ took a more of a moment to pause, with this being such a beautiful song dedicated to guitarist Matthew and his father passing away in 2019. ‘Bad Way’ and ‘Nightliner Rhapsody’ closed off the Opera portion of the set, with the band leaving the stage set for one last hit of energy from the crowd.

HELLIONS

No one was sitting down as the encore of ‘Get Up!’ started. Faivre asked how everyone was feeling as he made his way through the front of the stage. Gravolin even jumped into the crowd and got involved in the final singalong of the night. Following that, Faivre proclaimed that the crowd had been “electric” and that the band would not forget the show. Brisbane was loud thanking Hellions for an amazing night as the curtains closed for the final time. It had been a night of fierce talent from the supporting acts of RinRin, Beautiful Monument and Pilot Crisis leading to the energy explosion that was Hellions. Opera Oblivia celebrated its 10th birthday in the perfect Brisbane setting, one that no one who attended will be forgetting anytime soon.
