Biita Houdei debuts single “Life Inside the Hourglass” on Basin Rock and Father/Daughter

Houdei, previously known as LéPonds, has recently embraced the new moniker “Biita,” which translates to “unique” in Farsi. She adopted this new name with pride, feeling a strong connection to her Persian heritage through it. Before this change, Houdei had already made a name for herself as LéPonds, releasing four albums independently and sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Jeff Tweedy and Haley Heynderickx.

Now, under her new name “Biita,” she has released her first single titled “Life Inside the Hourglass,” which is also her debut under Basin Rock and Father/Daughter. Produced by Heynderickx, this track was written in a mere twenty minutes, almost like a mysterious ghost whispering its melodies and lyrics to her.
