Boy band Stray Kids has recently achieved a significant milestone by exceeding 40 million combined album sales throughout its career, which includes the release of 28 albums in both Korea and Japan. This accomplishment was confirmed by JYP Entertainment. Previously, the group had surpassed 30 million sales in January 2025, making this latest milestone even more remarkable.

The band’s domestic success includes 19 albums starting with their predebut album “Mixtape” in 2018, all the way to their second mixtape “Do It” in 2025, totaling an impressive 35.7 million copies sold. In addition to their Korean success, Stray Kids has also found popularity in Japan with nine albums, from their first compilation album “SKZ2020” in 2020 to their third Japanese EP “Hollow” in 2025, amassing a total of 4.5 million sales.

Comprising members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N, Stray Kids made their debut on March 25, 2018. Their signature songs like “God’s Menu” (2020), “S-Class” (2023), and “Lose My Breath” (2024) have helped solidify their reputation as a prominent K-pop act.

This year, the group released their latest track “Star, Light (Stay)” to commemorate their eighth debut anniversary. Their success was further underscored by winning multiple awards, including Album of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards and four wins at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.

Looking ahead, Stray Kids has an exciting lineup of performances scheduled. They are set to headline the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 6 and the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro on September 11. Additionally, their new music festival, Straycity, will be hosted in three Latin American cities in September, further showcasing the band’s global appeal.

With their continuous success and ever-growing fan base, Stray Kids exemplify the heights that can be achieved in the K-pop industry. Their dedication to creating impactful music and engaging performances has clearly resonated with audiences worldwide, allowing them to reach new milestones and solidify their position as one of the leading boy bands in the music industry today.
