Ai Yazawa’s NANA teams up with Love Liner for exclusive makeup collection
The Japanese makeup brand msh recently announced an exciting collaboration between its eye makeup line, Love Liner, and the beloved manga series, NANA.
Created by Ai Yazawa, NANA is a compelling and relatable tale that follows two young women with the same name, Nana Osaki, a determined punk rocker, and Nana Komatsu, affectionately known as Hachi, who is optimistic and in search of love, as they navigate the intricacies of life and relationships in Tokyo.
This new collaboration brings together the individual styles of Nana and Hachi with Love Liner’s mission of empowering individuals to embrace their unique interpretations of beauty. The limited edition “Love Liner x NANA Design” collection features some of Love Liner’s popular beauty tools in exclusive NANA-themed packaging.
One standout feature of this collaboration is the creative visual element on the outer packaging, where placing two eyeliner boxes side by side forms a heart symbol, symbolizing the special bond between the two characters. Additionally, subtle references to Room 707, the iconic apartment shared by Nana and Hachi in the series, can be found in the design.
The Love Liner x NANA collection includes various products, such as the Liquid Eyeliner R5 NANA Design, available in Black or Dark Brown shades. This eyeliner is housed in an aluminum bottle with a 0.1mm brush tip to ensure precise application without hand shaking. For those looking for more control, there is also the Liquid Eyeliner R5 Ultra-Fine NANA Design with a 0.01mm tip, suitable for detailed work like lining the inner corners of the eyes or filling in lower lashes. The Black eyeliner features Nana Osaki on the packaging, while the Dark Brown variant showcases Hachi.
Another exciting product in the collection is the All Lash Mask NANA Design mascara, available in Deep Black or Brown Black. This mascara offers fiber-free lengthening and is waterproof yet easily removable with warm water.
