Ariana Grande spooks Justin Long in new music video

Popstar Ariana Grande has recently released a new music video for her latest song “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” featuring US actor Justin Long. The 32-year-old singer stars alongside the 47-year-old actor in a haunting narrative that unfolds throughout the video, which was released on Monday.

The video opens with Long shoveling dirt over a grave before revealing Grande in an underground bunker-like room. As Long drives away, he sees Grande in his rear-view mirror, but she mysteriously vanishes when he turns around. Grande’s character, portrayed as a former partner of Long’s character, continues to haunt him, leading to a car crash and subsequent fiery wreckage.

Throughout the video, Grande follows Long, wearing a yellow maxi dress, as he tries to escape her haunting presence. Long is seen discarding photographs of the couple and a plate celebrating their 8th anniversary, with Grande watching from afar. The haunting continues as Long enters a diner, only to find that all the patrons, including the waitress and chef, are also Grande.

In a climactic moment, Long returns to the bunker where he initially discovered Grande, only to find her missing. The video concludes with Grande burying Long alive in the bunker, trapping him inside. The track featured in the music video is the first single from Grande’s upcoming eighth studio album, “Petal,” set for release on July 31, following her previous album “Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead.”

This music video release precedes Grande’s upcoming concert tour, “The Eternal Sunshine Tour,” scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, Montreal, and concluding with ten shows at London’s O2 Arena in August and September. The Grammy award-winning singer gained fame through her role in the Nickelodeon series “Victorious” and its spin-off “Sam And Cat.”
