Connecticut metal stalwarts Dead By Wednesday recently inked a deal with the resurrected Combat Records and have commemorated the collaboration by dropping their hard-hitting new single, “Flesh.” The track acts as a preview of the band’s upcoming EP, expected to hit the shelves in early 2027 under Combat Records and Mindsnap Music. Following a rousing reception at recent live shows, “Flesh” quickly emerged as a fan favorite, leading the band to select it as the lead single from the impending release and feature it on the official Milwaukee Metal Fest promotional compilation.

Accompanying the release of the single is a visually stunning music video shot in New York City and directed by Grammy-nominated filmmaker Tom Flynn, renowned for his contributions to several metal acts. Dead By Wednesday is also scheduled to grace this year’s Milwaukee Metal Fest, curated by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta, where they will take the stage on Sunday, June 7, at 4:45 p.m. at The Rave Bar’s BLK II BLK / Copycats Media Stage.

Guitarist Dave Sharpe described “Flesh” as one of the band’s heaviest offerings to date, while still upholding the groove-driven essence that has long defined Dead By Wednesday’s distinctive sound. The track was meticulously crafted, engineered, and recorded by Jeff Weed, further polished by Ricky Bonazza of Fear Factory and Butcher Babies in Los Angeles.

The video for “Flesh” perfectly complements the track’s intense energy and showcases the band’s ferocious stage presence and musical prowess. Dead By Wednesday’s lineup includes Esteban Alvarez on vocals, Opus on drums, Dave Sharpe on guitar, and Mike Modeste on bass.

With this latest release, Dead By Wednesday continues to solidify their place as a driving force in the metal scene with their hard-hitting sound and electrifying live performances.
