Air Supply, the iconic soft-rock duo formed in Melbourne, is celebrating their 50th anniversary with an upcoming tour that promises to bring their timeless hits to fans across Australia and New Zealand. After selling out five shows in Australia last year, they are returning to cities that missed out on the earlier tour.

The tour kicks off at The Star on Thursday, 3 December, in Gold Coast, followed by a performance at Wollongong’s Sounds of Rock Festival on Saturday, 5 December. The duo will then take the stage at Perth’s PCEC Riverside Theatre on Tuesday, 8 December, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 10 December, and the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 12 December. They will then head to New Zealand for a performance at Auckland’s The Civic on Tuesday, 15 December.

Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, the masterminds behind Air Supply, first met in May 1975 during rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar. Their collaboration has spanned five decades, yielding an impressive catalog of hits that includes classics like “Love and Other Bruises,” “Making Love Out of Nothing at All,” “Now and Forever,” “The One That You Love,” and the timeless favorite, “Lost in Love.”

“Lost in Love,” released in October 1976, quickly rose to the top of the charts in Australia and was later named Song of the Year in 1980. The duo’s success continued with seven consecutive Top Five singles in their home country, a feat that rivaled even The Beatles’ record.

Russell Hitchcock expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour, stating, “It means the world to us to celebrate our 50th Anniversary by performing in our homeland of Australia.” Echoing his sentiments, Graham Russell added, “On our 50th year as Air Supply, nothing will make us prouder than coming back to the place where it all began!”

Pre-sale tickets for the tour will be available on Wednesday, 10 June, at 12 pm local time, with the codeword LOVE. The general sale will open on Thursday, 11 June, at 12 pm local time. For more information on ticketing, visit the David Roy Williams website.
