A short time ago, I had the opportunity to have a conversation with Show Me The Body backstage at the Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City. I was a bit apprehensive before the interview, as I had expected the band to be very serious and stoic individuals, anticipating an awkward conversation. However, to my surprise, the band members turned out to be laid-back and humorous, making the interaction enjoyable. Their performance at the festival was exceptional, further solidifying my admiration for their music.

Show Me The Body is gearing up for the release of their upcoming album, Alone Together, which was recorded with renowned producers Kenneth Blume and Klas Ã…hlund just before their work on the new Weezer album. The band has already unveiled two singles from the album, namely “Dance In The USA” and “No God.” Today, they have released the album opener, “Eat For Peace,” a straightforward punk anthem that contrasts with some of their more enigmatic material. Frontman Julian Cashwan Pratt delivers powerful lyrics about the importance of fighting to protect loved ones, stating that it is a defining message for both the record and the band as a whole.

The band’s “Eat For Peace” music video was filmed during their weekly CORPUS Self Defense Training sessions at McCarren Park in Brooklyn. Those interested can attend these sessions every Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM throughout June, July, and August. Additionally, Show Me The Body has just announced an upcoming tour. Known for their dynamic live performances, the band has curated an impressive lineup for this tour, featuring the heavy hardcore sounds of Bangkok’s Whispers, the fast-paced punk of Baltimore’s Jivebomb, and the rising metallic screamo group Holder. Lip Critic will join the lineup for the Philadelphia and New York shows, with the NYC performance marking the first no-barrier show at Webster Hall in over a decade.

The band’s tour dates span various cities across Europe, including Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland, and the UK, among others, before heading to the US for a series of shows. Show Me The Body’s tour is set to kick off on June 19th in Warsaw, Poland, and conclude on October 14th in Philadelphia, PA. The band’s new album, Alone Together, is scheduled for release on July 10th through Loma Vista.

In conclusion, Show Me The Body’s latest endeavors, from their new album to their tour announcement, showcase their commitment to delivering raw, unapologetic music to their fans across the globe. Their dedication to their craft and their desire to connect with audiences through their powerful performances make them a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
