DYGL embarks on first European tour in years
DYGL is set to embark on a new European tour, marking their return after a significant hiatus from the region. The tour commences on June 14th at the Best Kept Secret Festival in Hilvarenbeek, Netherlands. Subsequent stops in the Netherlands include shows at Paradiso and Rotown before the band moves on to France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Czech Republic for a series of club performances, totaling 14 shows throughout the tour.
Hailing from Tokyo, DYGL is a four-piece indie rock band that emerged in 2012 and is recognized for their music infused with raw passion, sincere lyrics, and a fusion of indie rock and garage rock from the 2000s era. With a discography that includes four albums, their debut album grabbed attention as it was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes. Their latest album, “Who’s in the House?” was released on vinyl earlier this year in anticipation of their upcoming Australian tour. Recently, the band released a set of digital singles such as “All tomorrows,” “NRG,” and “De Nada,” leaving fans eager for the next album release.
Having previously performed in Europe in 2018, with shows in the UK and France, DYGL returned in subsequent years for more performances, including the Netherlands. They have also set foot in the United States and Asia, showcasing their talents at notable festivals like Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic, and SXSW. Earlier this year, DYGL ventured to Australia for their inaugural tour in the country.
The European leg of their 2026 tour includes dates in various cities such as Tours and Bordeaux in France, and cities across the UK, Germany, and the Czech Republic. The band’s calendar will be packed with performances in iconic venues like Paradiso in Amsterdam, The Truskel in Paris, and The Victoria in Birmingham. The tour will wrap up with a final show at Neue Zukunft in Berlin on July 2nd.
