Cassadaga unveils summer concert series

The Cassadaga Lakes Summer Concert Series, organized by Citizens for a Better Cassadaga, is set to kick off on Wednesday, June 17, with the annual Strawberry Social featuring the Cassadaga Area Concert Band. Taking place at Cassadaga Beach from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy strawberry shortcake while listening to a variety of musical genres performed by the band, including patriotic selections, show tunes, and popular music. Donations of $5 for adults and $3 for children are suggested, and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs for seating comfort.

The rest of the concerts in the series will be held on Sundays at the Cassadaga Floating Stage from 5 to 7 p.m., with an opening band performing on the beach gazebo from 4-5 p.m. before each headlining act, excluding the June 17 concert.

On June 28, The Rustic Ramblers will bring traditional country music to the floating stage, followed by Midnight Recovery on July 12, OsbornNash on July 26, and Hooman on August 9. Hooman promises a diverse range of genres including blues, jazz, Motown, and southern rock. On August 23, Ten Cent Howl, an Americana band, will perform their original music and favorite covers, showcasing their newly released album recorded in Cassadaga. The concert season will wrap up on September 6 with Aces and Eights, playing classic rock and blues as part of the annual Cassadaga Labor Day Festival.

Attendees are welcome to arrive at the concerts by boat or land, with parking available at the library, church, or fire hall as beach parking is limited. Refreshments will be sold onsite, and lifeguards will be present for those who wish to swim. Various amenities such as a playground, beach volleyball, picnic tables, and grills are also available for guests to enjoy.
