Crack an 80s Murder Mystery at a Dinner Event in Amarillo – 101.9 The Bull
suspect. In this interactive event, you will get the opportunity to play the role of a detective and solve the murder mystery.
Killer Track is not your typical murder mystery dinner. Unlike traditional dinner theater events, this mystery night is designed to be more engaging and interactive, similar to the popular board game Clue. The event kicks off with a short opening skit, followed by the distribution of case files to each table. As a participant, you will have the chance to compete against others to uncover the identity of the killer. It’s a thrilling experience that allows you to actively investigate the crime rather than passively watch a performance.
For those who want to fully immerse themselves in the 80s theme, dressing up in your best 80s attire is highly encouraged. Think big hair, punk rock, neon colors, Miami Vice style, and leg warmers. The murder mystery will take place on Friday, June 19th, at Cactus Cove Inn and Suites. The doors will open at 6 pm, with dinner commencing at 7 pm. In addition to solving the mystery, guests will also enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Bud Anderson.
The menu for the evening includes a salad of fresh greens with cucumbers and cherub tomatoes, served with a choice of Ranch or Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. The main course features spice-rubbed pork loin with Peach Chipotle sauce, herb-grilled red potatoes, and grilled summer vegetables such as zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, and mushrooms. A roll and butter will accompany the meal, followed by a delectable dessert of sponge cake topped with Macerated Strawberries and whipped topping.
Tickets for the event are available for $75 per person and can be purchased online. Additionally, Cactus Cove is offering a 20% discount on room rates for attendees who book directly with the hotel and mention the event. The hotel boasts a range of amenities, including self-check-in, an indoor pool, an open and airy atrium, an indoor putting green, giant cornhole boards, car sharing with Turo, and a free shuttle to popular local attractions like the Big Texan Steak Ranch and Starlight Ranch. Pets stay for free, and the hotel also features a Tesla Charging Station.
