Downtown Warren is preparing to host the 7th Full Spectrum Pride in the Valley event this Saturday. Organized by Full Spectrum Community Outreach Services, the festival celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and offers various mental health services and support groups. With over 100 vendors and more than two dozen performers, the event promises a day full of entertainment and celebration.

The festivities kick off with a parade around Courthouse Square at noon, followed by an opening ceremony at 12:30 p.m. The event will feature a lineup of talented performers throughout the day, including Adele Pickle, Rachell Joy, Daisy Carr, and many more. The highlight of the evening will be a local drag extravaganza hosted by Juniper Jay, winner of Mx Pride in the Valley 2026, featuring over 15 drag acts and the cast of Kent Trumbull Theatre’s “The Rocky Horror Show.” Best of all, admission to the event is free for all attendees.

Meanwhile, the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre is gearing up for the first YO NIGHTS! event this summer. This series aims not only to provide entertainment but also to showcase downtown Youngstown businesses. The inaugural event will feature Twisted Roots, offering food for sale and receiving a portion of the alcohol sales for the night. Attendees can enjoy music from The NightCap Band, Krypto.Divine, and other talented artists from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. While admission is $5, individuals aged 20 and younger and Youngstown State University students with a valid ID can enter for free. Additionally, those who bring a drink from a downtown establishment in a DORA cup can skip the entry fee.

Previous entertainment events like the Ribs-N-Rock Festival at Southern Park Mall’s Boardman Commons have also been a hit with audiences. The Clarks drew a substantial crowd on Friday, setting the stage for Puddle of Mudd’s highly anticipated performance on Saturday. The Clarks shared a mix of old favorites, deep cuts, and surprising covers like Prince’s “Kiss” to the delight of the audience. Lead singer Scott Blasey reminisced about the band’s history in the area, adding a personal touch to the performance. Fans can catch The Clarks in the area again on Sept. 7, along with other rockers like Bret Michaels and Donnie Iris & the Cruisers at the Canfield Fair.

As the summer unfolds, these events provide a platform for the community to come together, celebrate diversity, and enjoy live entertainment. Whether it’s Pride in the Valley, YO NIGHTS!, or music festivals like Ribs-N-Rock, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the coming weeks. Embrace the vibrant cultural scene and support local talent and businesses in and around the region.
