Shibuya Live Series presents July lineup for exPoP Event

NiEW’s exPoP!!!!!, a recurring free live music series, has announced its July lineup, which will take place at Spotify O-nest in Shibuya, Tokyo, on July 31. The event will feature a diverse set of artists including Minagawa Obore Collective, Mekong, Gingersamm, and Massage Attack.

Minagawa Obore Collective, led by Tokyo-born musician Minagawa Obore, specializes in creating intimate music from fragments of memory and everyday scenes. The band will bring its delicate sound to the stage in a full-band format, promising an engaging performance for the audience.

Tokyo-based quartet Mekong mixes elements of folk, indie rock, city pop, and grunge to create a nostalgic, lo-fi sound. They recently released their debut EP titled “Glider” and followed it up with an album called “Mikan,” expanding their musical reach in 2026.

Gingersamm, a duo consisting of Kyoshi Yamada and Tomoya Kataoka, combines folk-inspired songwriting with R&B and soul rhythms. Their debut EP “Namae,” produced by Mitsuru Kawabe of Mitsume, came out in May, and the duo is set to perform at this year’s Fuji Rock Festival.

Rounding out the lineup is Massage Attack, a four-piece rock and roll band formed in 2024. Known for their multi-vocalist approach and eclectic songwriting, the band released their debut album “1,000,000,000 Attack” to critical acclaim, showcasing their unique style.
