Behemoth release new ‘I, Scvlptor’ video and reveal UK co-headline show
Polish metal band Behemoth has just unveiled a new project titled I, Scvlptor, scheduled for release on September 4th, 2026. This upcoming work features eight tracks that beautifully blend the band’s roots with their contemporary style. The lead single and title track, “I, Scvlptor,” comes alongside a captivating music video created by the esteemed Polish production crew Grupa 13.
Frontman Nergal shared his thoughts on the profound themes of the new song: “’I, Scvlptor’ is reminiscent of Behemoth’s iconic tracks like ‘O Father O Satan O Sun!’, ‘Lucifer,’ or ‘Nieboga Czarny Xiądz’, while also introducing a fresh perspective. It carries a monumental weight but takes an unexpected turn, making it stand out from the band’s previous works. The lyrics speak metaphorically about the ongoing process of self-transformation – a constant struggle against one’s personal limitations and defining oneself.”
I, Scvlptor is not just a regular compilation album; it includes brand-new recordings and reimagined versions of classic tracks from the 1990s, such as “Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil” and “In Thy Pandemaeternum,” presented with a contemporary sound. Additionally, the collection features tribute covers, including Venom’s “In League With Satan” with guest artist Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir, and Bathory’s “The Return of Darkness and Evil” featuring Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ. To top it off, the album will be available in various limited-edition splatter vinyl formats, cassettes, and gold metalized CD digibooks released through Massacre Records and Nuclear Blast.
