BBC acquires YouTube channel Ghosts Australia
The popular British comedy series, Ghosts, has found a new home in Australia through the acquisition by the BBC. Ghosts Australia presents a reimagined storyline where a young couple, Kate and Sean, inherit Ramshead Manor following the passing of Kate’s great-uncle. The story unfolds as they venture to the countryside to assess the run-down property and consider transforming it into a boutique hotel. Little do they know that Ramshead Manor is also inhabited by a diverse group of ghosts with quirky personalities.
The eight-part series, set to be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three, features Logie-nominated actors Tamala and Rowan Witt in the lead roles of Kate and Sean. The ensemble cast of ghosts includes Mandy McElhinney, Brent Hill, Ines English, Michelle Brasier, George Zhao, and Jackson Tozer. Directed by Christiaan Van Vuuren and Madeleine Dyer, Ghosts Australia boasts a talented team of writers led by Josh Mapleston, with contributions from Libby Butler, Shontell Ketchell, Philip Tarl Denson, and Steph Tisdell.
