Kansas State Fair presents Rock Fest featuring three bands – KSN-TV
The Kansas State Fair has exciting news for rock fans, as they have announced a three-band lineup for this year’s Rock Fest on Saturday, Sept. 19th. The event promises to be a night of hard-hitting rock ‘n’ roll at the Kansas Star Casino Grandstand.
Headlining the event is From Ashes to New, a unique band that combines elements of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative rock. Known for songs like “Barely Breathing,” “Die For You,” and “Drag Me,” From Ashes to New has cultivated a dedicated fan base. “Die For You” even reached the top spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Charts in May and was used to spearhead an anti-bullying campaign in 2018.
Joining From Ashes to New is Saliva, a band that found mainstream success with their 2001 album “Every Six Seconds.” The album featured hits like “Click Click Boom” and “Your Disease,” which garnered a Grammy Award nomination. Despite the passing of founding guitarist Wayne Swinny in 2021, Saliva has carried on with Bobby Amaru as the frontman.
Completing the lineup is Saving Abel, a southern rock band that originated in a Memphis suburb in 2004. Their 2008 self-titled album produced the multiplatinum hit “Addicted,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Ticket sales for Rock Fest will open on Thursday, with prices starting at $45 for grandstand seats and going up to $415 for a VIP reserved table for six. The VIP package includes two drink tickets, complimentary appetizers before the show, and early admittance.
For more information on tickets or the event itself, interested individuals can visit the official Kansas State Fair website or contact the fair’s office directly. This promises to be an unforgettable night of rock music that fans of all ages will not want to miss. Keep an eye out for more updates and announcements as the date approaches.
