The original members of the Alice Cooper Group, including Alice Cooper, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith, and Michael Bruce, made a stunning reunion on stage at London’s O2 Arena. They performed together for the first time in over fifty years to celebrate the release of their first full album since 1973, “The Revenge of Alice Cooper.” The sold-out crowd of twelve thousand fans witnessed the rock legends deliver an emotional rendition of their iconic song “School’s Out,” marking a historic moment in rock music.
The energy of the night reached its peak when Johnny Depp joined the original band members and Alice’s touring band for a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with a cover of “Paranoid.” The crowd went wild as Dunaway, Smith, and Bruce appeared on stage for an explosive finale, closing the show in a truly memorable rock-and-roll fashion that will be remembered for years to come.
The night before their electrifying performance, the original band members and producer Bob Ezrin gathered for a Q&A and livestream event in London’s Union Chapel. Hosted by Sir Tim Rice, the event allowed fans from around the world to listen to the new album, The Revenge of Alice Cooper, in its entirety for the first time. It was a reunion filled with nostalgia and friendship as the band and Ezrin shared stories about their early days and the inspiration behind the new songs.
“The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” released through earMUSIC, is more than just an album—it’s a revival of the band’s iconic sound and spirit. Produced in a Connecticut studio with Ezrin at the helm, the album captures the venomous riffs, macabre storytelling, and swagger that defined Alice Cooper’s music in their prime. The late Glen Buxton, the band’s original guitarist, posthumously appears on the track “What Happened To You,” thanks to previously unreleased recordings, keeping his legacy alive within the band’s rebirth.
The new record showcases the band’s ferocity with tracks like “Black Mamba,” featuring Robby Krieger of The Doors, “Wild Ones,” “Up All Night,” and “See You on the Other Side.” The album also includes a long-lost alternate take of “Return of the Spiders,” polished by Ezrin for the deluxe edition, giving fans a taste of the band’s creative fire that still burns brightly.
The current lineup of The Revenge of Alice Cooper includes the original legends along with additional talent on lead guitar. The album, which pays homage to the band’s influential past while looking towards the future, reaffirms Alice Cooper’s status as a rock icon. With songs like “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” and “School’s Out,” the original Alice Cooper Band revolutionized rock music in the ’70s, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, Alice Cooper’s legacy is undeniable and enduring. Their reunion, along with the release of The Revenge of Alice Cooper, demonstrates that their story is far from over. The album’s availability on digital platforms, colored vinyl, deluxe box sets, and art prints showcases the band’s commitment to their fans and their dedication to keeping rock music alive. As new listeners discover their music and longtime fans rejoice in their return, the original Alice Cooper Band proves that legends never fade—they only come back stronger.
