P.O.D. finishes follow-up album to ‘Veritas’ in Philadelphia studio

Christian nu-metal band P.O.D. has recently wrapped up the recording process for a new album, which is being described as a follow-up to their previous record, Veritas. The band teamed up with accomplished music producer and engineer Will Yip for this project, and the collaboration took place at Memory Music Studios, located in South Philadelphia.

In an interview with Chaoszine, P.O.D. guitarist Marcos Curiel discussed Yip’s thorough grasp of the band’s unique sound and his ability to meld various musical influences such as hip-hop, indie rock, and post-hardcore. The goal of this collaboration was not to completely revamp the band’s identity but rather to breathe new life into it.

Curiel expressed his satisfaction with the recording process, stating, “I can say this proudly, we did a record – 13, 14 songs – all tracked, vocals, drums, and guitars, in 12 days. It kind of set the tone, like, it’s good to be prepared. I kind of like it … and the songs came out so dope. We’re extremely proud of it, dude.”

Following the completion of the album, P.O.D. is gearing up for an extensive touring schedule set to take place from May to October. The band will be performing at various venues across North America and Europe, including appearances at renowned music festivals like the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, on May 17, the Download Festival in Derby, United Kingdom, on June 12, Nova Rock in Nickelsdorf, Austria, on June 14, and Rock in Rio Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, on June 21.
