An electrifying show that captivated audiences at the Pol’and’Rock Festival in 2025 has been shared by the Romanian Folkcore band, Dirty Shirt. This event marks the group’s third appearance at the renowned open-air music festival, establishing them among the elite few non-Polish acts to have graced the festival’s grand stage multiple times. The band’s journey with Pol’and’Rock is rooted deeply in the festival’s core values of inclusivity, benevolence, and musical variety.

Barely two years prior to their 2025 performance, Dirty Shirt made their Pol’and’Rock debut in a special, constrained edition due to the global pandemic, offering their music to a scaled-down audience of 20,000. The following year saw their triumphant return after clinching the Golden Spinning Top (Złoty Bączek) award, a prestigious accolade determined by public votes which designates the festival’s opening act for the forthcoming iteration. Previous recipients of this award include renowned international artists such as Clawfinger, Papa Roach, Sabaton, Anthrax, Bring Me The Horizon, Avatar, Amon Amarth, and others. In their most current appearance in 2025, Dirty Shirt was part of EERA, the Eastern European Rock Alliance, a cultural initiative supported by the European Union. As a leading act in the project, their return to Pol’and’Rock was not only symbolic but also carried significant artistic weight.

However, reaching the 2025 Pol’and’Rock stage was no easy feat for Dirty Shirt. The band endured an arduous 16-hour journey from Romania to northern Poland the day prior to the performance, arriving late into the night. Show day commenced bright and early at 4:30 a.m. for a 6 a.m. soundcheck, with their accommodations situated over an hour away from the festival grounds. By the time the band took the stage, the clock had well past midnight.

Reflecting on the experience, the band members shared that despite the challenges and exhaustion leading up to the show, performing at Pol’and’Rock injected a renewed sense of vitality and purpose into their music. They lauded the Polish audience for their intense passion and energy, describing them as one of the most fervent crowds they have ever performed for, reinvigorating their dedication to their craft.

Overall, Dirty Shirt’s mesmerizing performance at the Pol’and’Rock Festival in 2025 not only solidified their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the music scene but also served as a testament to their enduring commitment to their art and their fans. The band’s music transcends traditional boundaries, uniting people through a shared love of music and community, just as events like Pol’and’Rock Festival aim to achieve.
