Iconic rock band Heart, led by the talented sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, will be performing at the Gas South Arena for their “Royal Flush Tour.” This tour was extended after Ann’s battle with cancer in 2024, which required her to undergo surgery and treatment. Shortly after, Ann sustained a severe break to her arm and elbow, but despite these challenges, she was determined to get back on stage. Even appearing in a wheelchair in social media clips, Ann’s powerful voice remained as formidable as ever.

Nancy Wilson, Ann’s sister, expressed in a recent interview that Ann is getting stronger with each performance, showcasing incredible resilience in the face of adversity. Fans attending the concert can look forward to hearing timeless hits like “Barracuda,” “Crazy On You,” “Alone,” and “These Dreams,” where Nancy takes the lead vocals. Renowned for her skill as a guitarist, Nancy is considered one of the finest in rock history.

The Wilson sisters first made waves in the early 1970s in Seattle, using their music to carve out a space for women in the male-dominated rock scene. Their breakthrough came in 1975 with the album “Dreamboat Annie,” featuring hits like “Magic Man” and “Crazy on You.” Throughout the 1980s, Heart continued to evolve, producing chart-topping singles such as “Alone,” “These Dreams,” “What About Love,” and “Never.” Their eponymous album in 1985 propelled them to superstardom, introducing a new generation of fans to their music and eventually leading to their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

One of the rewarding aspects of being on tour for Nancy has been witnessing the diverse age range of their audience, spanning from college-aged youth to young children. Their influence on women in rock is undeniable, as Nancy reflected on breaking the glass ceiling and providing inspiration for aspiring female musicians. Heart’s impact extended beyond their music, offering courage to women who aspired to pursue a career in the industry.

While Heart’s legacy is firmly established with 35 million records sold, Nancy remains committed to supporting emerging musical talent through Roadcase, an artist management company she established with her husband, Geoff Bywater. However, the band continues to focus on their own music, with Nancy eagerly anticipating the release of their first album in over a decade. The inspiration drawn from their time on the road fuels Nancy’s creativity, prompting her to start writing as soon as she returns home.

Tickets for the “Royal Flush Tour,” featuring special guest Lucinda Williams, are still available for those eager to witness Heart’s enduring legacy in person. Don’t miss the chance to experience this legendary band live in concert.
