New music from Pittsburgh artists out in March 2026
The Pittsburgh music scene is buzzing with excitement as a diverse group of local musicians gear up to release new EPs, albums, and singles in March 2026. These anticipated releases promise a range of genres and styles that showcase the talent and creativity of Pittsburgh’s music community. Here’s a glimpse of the upcoming local releases scheduled for the Pittsburgh region this month.
One of the notable releases to look forward to is Cello’s new album, “Singing to Serpents,” set to drop on March 1. Cello, a genre-blurring singer-songwriter, promises an album that blurs “the lines between music, spoken word, and emotional storytelling.” Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and vulnerability, Cello’s music invites listeners into a sonic landscape that serves as both confession and catharsis. The album will debut with a free show at Spirit Lodge on March 12.
On March 6, Chet Vincent & the Music Industry will unveil their latest album, “Static on the Radio,” described as a fusion of George Harrison’s soul, Neil Young’s grit, Gram Parsons’ country, and Tom Petty’s jangle. This release serves as a follow-up to their 2023 debut album, “Young Leaves.” The band will host an album release show on March 28 at the Sanctuary at Mr. Smalls, with special guest Clinton Clegg opening the show.
Singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer Pat Kelly will drop his fifth album, “Hook,” on March 6, marking his first release in five years. The album promises a collection of compact, darkly humorous songs that explore themes of self-doubt, delusional ambition, anger, and nostalgia. Kelly’s folk-rock sound is likened to the charm of Michael Hurley and the pop sensibility of Stephen Malkmus. An album release show is scheduled for the same night at Club Cafe on Pittsburgh’s South Side.
Indie hip-hop duo BBGuns and electro jazz hip-hop band Beauty Slap have collaborated on a new single titled “The Fruit,” set to release on March 6. Described as a fun track that pays homage to Digable Planets and The Happy Mondays, this single promises a unique blend of sounds that will captivate listeners.
Pittsburgh’s Right on Warriors will celebrate the orange vinyl release of their latest album, “Still Standing,” on March 7 at Poetry Lounge. The band’s influences of ’80s and ’90s punk and rock shine through in their music, featuring sing-along choruses, driving guitars, punk energy, and melodic solos. The album, which includes the single “Michelle Wants To Rebel,” is available on all streaming platforms.
The Anton DeFade Quintet, led by The Commonheart bassist, will release a new single titled “Gaijin” on March 12. This song serves as a heartfelt reflection on imposter syndrome and the feeling of being an outsider in unfamiliar musical environments. The group will perform a release show on March 12 at Alphabet City at the City of Asylum on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
Country singer Gary Pratt is set to drop a new single, “Buzzin’,” on March 13, co-written by national country artist Jon Pardi, Kenneth Johnson, and Bart Butler. The song promises a vibrant, feel-good country sound that captures the electric rush of living in the moment.
