In a groundbreaking turn of events for Plini, the talented Australian guitarist, composer, and producer has announced the upcoming release of a new studio album called “An Unnameable Desire” scheduled to hit the shelves on April 24th, 2026. This latest musical endeavor comprises 10 tracks that expertly blend intricate melodies with powerful crescendos and ethereal moments that showcase Plini’s boundless talent and musical range.

Coinciding with the album announcement, Plini has also treated his fans to the title track “An Unnameable Desire” along with an engaging music video. However, as Plini hints, there may be more to unravel as listeners delve deeper into what this third album has to offer.

“I picked this as the first single because it sets the tone/sound of the album without really giving anything away,” shares Plini. “I’m known as a guitarist, but this song doesn’t even really contain a guitar ‘solo’. Much like the video, it’s the whimsical first chapter of an adventure, and hopefully gives a false sense of security for what’s to come.”

The album “An Unnameable Desire” was mixed by Simon Grove and mastered by Adam “Nolly” Getgood, boasting a collaboration with a host of talented musicians including Simon Grove, Chris Allison, Dave Mckay, A.J. Minette, Misha Vayman, Yoshi Masuda, Devesh Dayal, Jakub Zytecki, and Emily Hopkins. The album artwork has been artfully crafted by Patti Bai.

Plini sheds light on the creative process behind this album, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a playful and exploratory approach. “The intention with this album was to let that side of the process be as playful as possible, and then when it came to executing these ideas as finished songs, trying to expand the music in every direction possible: the heavier parts should be heavier, the pretty parts should be prettier, the hard-to-play stuff should be harder to play…”

Scheduled for release on April 24th, “An Unnameable Desire” can be pre-ordered now. This album promises to be an enchanting musical journey that showcases Plini’s unwavering dedication to his craft and his commitment to creating a rich tapestry of sounds that captivate and inspire listeners.
