Disney’s Hollywood Studios is preparing to open a new attraction that will feature a soundtrack composed of classic tracks by none other than Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band Def Leppard. The upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets is set to debut on May 26, replacing the previous Aerosmith-themed ride at the Florida-based park.

The announcement was made public through an Instagram post featuring Def Leppard members Joe Elliott and Phil Collen engaging with Electric Mayhem band member Lips, who humorously asked if they would join forces with the Muppets on the roller coaster. Collen responded positively, prompting an enthusiastic reaction from Lips, albeit a bit garbled, expressing his excitement and gratitude towards the band. As Lips wandered off, Elliott jokingly questioned what they had just agreed to, adding a touch of humor to the conversation.

Apart from Def Leppard’s iconic track “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” being included in the roller coaster’s playlist, the soundtrack will feature covers by the Electric Mayhem band of well-known hits like Blur’s “Song 2,” Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild” performed with Camilla the Chicken, Ohio Players’ “Love Rollercoaster” featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove, and Katrina and the Waves’ “Walking on Sunshine” with Kelly Clarkson.

The ride follows a storyline where guests embark on a quest to locate The Electric Mayhem members as they disappear before a crucial concert. The attraction will also include cameo appearances from various celebrities including Neil Patrick Harris, John Stamos, Travis Barker from blink-182, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Darren Criss, and more, heightening the star-studded appeal of the ride.

As Disney gears up to open this thrilling and star-studded new attraction, the incorporation of upbeat classic rock tunes performed by Def Leppard and The Muppets’ Electric Mayhem promises an exciting and engaging experience for visitors. The blend of nostalgia, humor, and adrenaline on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster looks to be a captivating and entertaining addition to the lineup of attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
