Loathe is gearing up to release its latest album, titled “A Stranger to You,” on July 17, marking the band’s first studio record in five years. The album will be released under SharpTone Records and features the newly released single “Revenant.” This album announcement also comes with a lineup of collaborators and an extensive list of upcoming live performances.

The new album by Loathe will showcase contributions from various artists, including jazz and trip-hop singer Jordan Rakei, conceptual pop-screamo group STATIC DRESS, prog and jazz-rock guitarist Mansur Brown, and rapper bucki sugar. The band’s new material draws on a diverse set of influences, blending elements of shoegaze, nu-metal, and progressive metal to create a unique sound.

“Revenant,” the first track released from “A Stranger to You,” features NOWHERE2RUN, a project involving Code Orange members Jami Morgan and Eric “Shade” Balderose. The song combines heavy downtuned riffs reminiscent of Korn with intense hardcore vocals and chilling synth layers, incorporating hints of industrial metal and avant-garde noise guitar. This eclectic mix of styles showcases the diverse musical direction taken by Loathe on their new album.

In addition to releasing new music, Loathe has announced a series of tour dates and festival appearances in support of “A Stranger to You.” The band will kick off their tour in Australia on May 9 before heading to Europe for performances in June. They will be supported by STATIC DRESS during their Australian shows and will also join Mastodon as support for some European dates. Loathe is also set to perform at festivals such as Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 31 and Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 18.

The upcoming shows related to the album cycle include various cities and dates across Australia and Europe, providing fans with multiple opportunities to experience Loathe’s new music live.
