Sega announces global Sonic 35th Anniversary concert tour in Japan
Sega and the production team Senbla have joined forces to unveil an extensive global music tour commemorating the Sonic the Hedgehog series in honor of its thirty-fifth anniversary.
The iconic Sonic the Hedgehog game burst onto the scene in 1991, revolutionizing traditional platforming games with its unique momentum-based physics and intricate level designs. This groundbreaking software quickly gained worldwide popularity, spawning numerous sequels, animated adaptations, and successful cinematic releases.
Renowned for its high-speed action, memorable characters, and distinctive musical themes, Sonic the Hedgehog continues to captivate players. The upcoming “Sonic Live In Concert” will feature a live ensemble of rock musicians and vocalists performing a diverse selection of iconic game tracks throughout the franchise’s history.
The concert will showcase electronic arrangements and instrumental renditions of classic tunes, ranging from the beloved melodies of Green Hill Zone to modern rock anthems like “Undefeatable.” In a synchronized presentation, high-definition gameplay footage will accompany the live performances on large screens behind the stage, enhancing the overall experience.

The world tour schedule features a range of concert dates across various locations, including Spokane, Seattle, San Diego, London, Las Vegas, and many more. Sega plans to announce additional European tour dates in the future, with general admission tickets set to go on sale on May 29, 2026, after a pre-sale period starting on May 28.
