Boundaries unveil new single “Only Endless”
Boundaries have recently announced the upcoming release of their new album “Yearning: The Unbeautiful After” on Sumerian Records, set to debut on July 17. The band is giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the release of their third track from the album, “Only Endless.” According to Matthew McDougal, the band’s vocalist, much of the album is designed to prompt listeners to reflect on the lyrics and connect with the emotions presented in the songs. However, “Only Endless” takes a different approach by simply describing a feeling without asking anything of the listener, leaving the interpretation open to individual perspectives.
This new track drop coincides with the exciting announcement of Boundaries embarking on a North American fall tour alongside Knocked Loose. Before hitting the road locally, the band will kick off their European tour on June 5, making appearances at some of the continent’s biggest rock festivals like Download Festival, Rock Am Ring, and Rock Im Park. Select dates on this tour will see them sharing the stage with notable acts like The Plot In You, Kublai Khan TX, Bury Tomorrow, and more. Additionally, Boundaries has also secured spots at Warped Tour in Long Beach, California, and Louder Than Life.
Prior to the release of “Only Endless,” Boundaries had already unveiled two tracks from their upcoming album, namely “Death Will Follow Me” and “Skies Cast Amber Black.” These singles have received high praise from various music critics, with Revolver describing the new music as “awesomely pissed-off,” Knotfest highlighting the relentless aggression in the music, and Consequence praising its brutal nature.
Recorded in the fall of 2025 under the guidance of producer Drew Fulk, known for his work with bands like Knocked Loose and Fit For A King, “Yearning: The Unbeautiful After” showcases Boundaries at their most intense and focused. The fourteen-track album features guest appearances from Landon Tewers of The Plot In You on “Crowned and Crucified” and Make Them Suffer on “Torn Wide Open.” The band aimed to create a record that is unapologetically intense and relentless in its delivery, capturing their signature sound and energy.
Fans of heavy music and hardcore enthusiasts will undoubtedly find something to love in Boundaries’ upcoming album, with its raw energy and emotional depth sure to resonate with listeners who appreciate bold and unapologetic music.
