JoJo Siwa wears eye patch for severe eye infection in latest video
JoJo Siwa has recently been sporting a new look – an eye patch. The former “Dance Moms” star took to social media to share a video showcasing her latest accessory while humorously mentioning the challenges she’s been facing, stating, “Things aren’t going too well,” and revealing that she also sustained a concussion, labeling herself as a mess.
In the video, Siwa gave viewers a glimpse of her irritated eye, caused by an infection, and explained that the injury was the result of falling off a golf cart. While the concussion and eye infection are separate incidents, she described the infection as a particularly severe case.
As a result of her injuries, the 23-year-old has been advised to rest on the bed or couch for a few days to allow her body to recover. Despite the setback, Siwa expressed gratitude for her concussion’s positive progress, stating that while she is not yet fully recovered, she is on the right path. However, her eye is taking longer to heal than expected.
Even though she is under the care of a team of doctors, Siwa disclosed that she intends to continue rehearsing for her upcoming tour. Acknowledging that it might be premature to resume her activities while not fully recovered, she emphasized the importance of perseverance in the entertainment industry, stating, “the show must go on.”
Siwa concluded her update with a light-hearted remark, reassuring her fans that if they see her wearing sunglasses, it’s not to make a fashion statement but to protect her eye and provide some relief.
Despite her recent health struggles, including a ruptured ovarian cyst in December, Siwa remains in good spirits and is determined to push through her current challenges. The young star’s resilience and positive attitude are evident as she navigates these obstacles and continues to pursue her passion for performing.
