JoJo Siwa wears eye patch for severe eye infection in latest video
JoJo Siwa has recently shared an update on her health, revealing that she is sporting a new accessory – an eye patch. The former “Dance Moms” star posted a video on June 1, where she humorously mentioned, “Things aren’t going too well,” and confessed to having a concussion along with the eye infection, stating, “I’m a mess.”
In the video, Siwa showcased her reddened and irritated eye, as well as some progress photos of the infection. She explained that she fell off her golf cart, resulting in the concussion, while the eye infection is an independent issue, describing it as a “gnarly” case. The 23-year-old has been advised to rest in bed or on the couch for the following days to aid her recovery process.
Despite facing these challenges, JoJo remains optimistic and resilient. She stated in the post’s caption that while her concussion is showing signs of improvement with rest, her eye is taking longer than expected to heal completely. Although under the care of a dedicated team of medical professionals, she revealed that she is also preparing for her upcoming tour rehearsals.
Acknowledging the need for caution due to her ongoing recovery, Siwa humorously mentioned that she is aware of the old showbiz adage “the show must go on,” emphasizing that she will approach her work carefully until she is fully recovered. Concluding her update with a touch of humor, JoJo quipped, “If you see me with sunglasses on, just know, I’m not being a dramatic diva, just taking care of my eye and giving it some relief.”
This recent health setback is just one of the challenges JoJo has faced this year. In December, she was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a ruptured ovarian cyst, but managed to bounce back quickly. Despite these health hurdles, JoJo Siwa continues to exhibit strength, resilience, and a positive attitude as she navigates through these obstacles while maintaining her commitments and responsibilities in the entertainment industry.
