Sonic Temple announces 2027 dates after attracting 184,000 fans to Crew Stadium
The Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival will be back at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus next spring, as anchor event producer Danny Wimmer Presents disclosed the dates for the upcoming 2027 festival. Scheduled to take place from May 13 to May 16, 2027, the four-day rock and metal festival aims to build on the success of the 2026 edition that drew a staggering 184,000 fans in Columbus.
The previous year’s lineup was indeed impressive, boasting nearly 145 bands performing across five stages with headliners like My Chemical Romance, Shinedown, Bring Me The Horizon, and Tool stealing the show. Fans eager to secure their spots for the 2027 festival can take advantage of a presale starting on Friday, June 26, at 10 a.m. EST. Subsequently, general admission, VIP, camping, and parking passes will go on sale to the public on Monday, June 29, at 10 a.m. EST.
An exciting feature for festival-goers is the option to purchase tickets through a layaway plan starting at just $1 down. Additionally, ticket service fees will include a donation to the DWP Foundation, a charitable organization supporting both local and national non-profit groups. Apart from the outstanding music lineup, attendees can look forward to experiencing live visual art installations and murals at the festival. The 2026 event highlighted the works of prominent artists like Bob’s Burgers creator Jay Howell, contemporary painter Terry Urban, and various live creative programming from the street art collective Secret Walls.
In a bid to secure the festival’s future in Columbus, Danny Wimmer Presents made a strategic move by extending its partnership with Historic Crew Stadium for an additional five years, ensuring that the event will remain in the city until at least 2030. This step solidifies the festival’s commitment to the local community and establishes the venue as a cornerstone for the Sonic Temple experience.
Overall, the anticipation for the 2027 Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival is palpable following the resounding success of the 2026 edition. By setting dates and gearing up for ticket sales, organizers are poised to deliver another unforgettable music extravaganza at Historic Crew Stadium next spring, promising fans an immersive and electrifying experience that celebrates the best of rock and metal music accompanied by captivating visual art installations.
