Westside Cowboy Releases Music Video “Pin Up Boys”
Westside Cowboy crafted their legendary track “Pin Up Boys” a year and a half before its recording, using an acoustic guitar, a drum machine sample pad, and screwdrivers as makeshift drumsticks. When they arrived at Greenmount Studios in Leeds to work with producer Loren Humphrey, the song had evolved significantly through numerous live performances. Each rendition of the track had gradually shifted towards a heavier and more aggressive sound, prompting the band to aim for an authentic representation of their live energy in the studio recording. Despite being the longest-standing song on their album, “Pin Up Boys” posed both benefits and drawbacks due to its extensive history of live performances.
