Rock and Roll Hall of Fame debuts exhibit featuring women in metal, highlighted by Halestorm performance
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is preparing to introduce a new exhibit titled Women in Metal: You Will Know My Name. To commemorate this event, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm will be performing an acoustic set at the museum.
This exhibit will feature artifacts from prominent women who have significantly influenced the metal genre throughout the years. Among the featured artists are Lita Ford, Alissa White-Gluz, Taylor Momsen, Courtney LaPlante, and others. The exhibit was curated by Assistant Haley Cronin, who has worked hard to assemble a collection that honors the contributions of these female pioneers in metal.
Cronin expressed her excitement about the exhibit, stating, “Women have been pivotal influencers and changemakers in the metal genre since its inception. We are thrilled to share the stories of these courageous women who have pushed boundaries and paved the way for future generations of female rockers.”
Lzzy Hale, one of the performers at the event, shared her pride in being a part of the exhibit, emphasizing her appreciation for the opportunity to stand alongside her fellow female metal artists. Recognizing the significance of the exhibit, she spoke about the importance of showcasing the achievements of women in the male-dominated metal industry.
In a recent interview with Loudwire, Lzzy Hale acknowledged the long-overdue recognition that women in metal have received through this exhibit. She highlighted the dedication and hard work of her female colleagues who have strived to establish themselves in the music business.
Despite her confidence on stage, Lzzy Hale admitted to feeling nervous about giving a speech at the exhibit’s opening. She humorously mentioned her discomfort with public speaking, contrasting it with her comfort performing in front of large crowds.
Halestorm, known for their chart-topping success in the U.S. and their Grammy-winning hit “Love Bites (So Do I),” has sold over three million albums. Their most recent album, Everest, was released in 2025, further solidifying their status as a prominent metal band.
The exhibit’s opening event will feature performances by three bands following Halestorm’s acoustic set. Attendees can look forward to sets by Storms Within, Maxilla, and Reign of Z. Tickets for the event are available for purchase on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s website.
The Women in Metal exhibit serves as a tribute to the resilience, talent, and influence of female artists in the metal genre. By highlighting the achievements of women in a traditionally male-dominated industry, this exhibit celebrates the diversity and groundbreaking contributions of female musicians in the world of rock and metal music.
