The rapper from Florida, known as Big Ultra within the collective, has teamed up with other artists like A$AP Ferg, Bktherula, TiaCorine, and Key Nyata in this exciting project. Their lead single, “Lit Effect,” produced by BNYX and featuring Bktherula and LAZER DIM 700, showcases a rock-infused, vibrant sound that sets the tone for the group’s new direction.

With The Scythe, Curry is making a conscious shift and bringing back a raw, regional Southern sound inspired by the rough edges of Memphis, Houston, and Miami hip-hop. He views the collective not just as a side gig but as a unique creative entity, stating, “The Scythe is a family and a group. We still have our respective solo careers, but when we come together, it’s The Scythe.”

Despite his involvement in The Scythe, Curry’s schedule remains packed with commitments, including opening for Deftones on their upcoming UK and European arena tour in February. Strictly 4 The Scythe is set to be his first full project since the 2024 album version of his mixtape, King Of The Mischievous South. This updated release features a new tracklist and five additional songs, some of which include collaborations with artists who are now part of The Scythe.

Here is the tracklisting for Strictly 4 The Scythe:
– “The Scythe” with TiaCorine & Ferg
– “Lit Effect” with Bktherula & LAZER DIM 700
– “Phony Shit” with Juicy J, Ferg & Key Nyata
– “Mutt That Bih” with 1900Rugrat & Key Nyata
– “Hoopty” with TiaCorine & Smino
– “You Ain’t Gotta Lie” with 454 & Luh Tyler

The Scythe’s fusion of different sounds and styles promises an innovative and dynamic approach to music. With Curry at the helm, this collective project is poised to make a significant impact on the hip-hop scene, offering a fresh perspective and pushing boundaries in the industry. Stay tuned for more exciting developments from The Scythe as they continue to make waves in the music world.
