Bruce Dickinson has recently completed recording the vocals for his upcoming solo album at Studio 606 in Northridge, California, which is owned by Dave Grohl. The album is scheduled to be released in 2027, following his 2024 project, The Mandrake Project.

This exciting news was shared on Instagram by vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, who had the opportunity to visit the recording studio during Dickinson’s vocal recording sessions. Soto expressed his admiration for Dickinson’s work, stating that he had the privilege of hearing some of the new tracks. According to Soto, Dickinson’s vocals were as powerful and captivating as ever, and he was thoroughly impressed by the songs, performances, and overall atmosphere of the upcoming album. Soto hinted that this new project might be one of Dickinson’s strongest works outside of his role in Iron Maiden.

The recording lineup for the album features Roy “Z” Ramirez, who not only serves as a longtime co-writer and producer for Dickinson but also contributes as a guitarist and bassist. Additionally, keyboardist Mistheria and drummer Dave Moreno are part of the recording team. Notably, Mistheria and Moreno have worked with Dickinson in the past, having appeared on his 2005 solo studio album, Tyranny Of Souls.

Dickinson’s previous album, The Mandrake Project, was released in March 2024 through BMG. The album was a culmination of recording sessions that took place from 2014 and continued through the post-COVID era at Doom Room in Los Angeles.

Despite his solo endeavors, Dickinson is currently focused on touring with Iron Maiden for their Run For Your Lives World Tour this year. Although Dickinson’s last solo performance was in August 2002 at Wacken Open Air festival in Germany, he made a triumphant return to the solo stage in April 2024 with his solo band.

In other music news, Queensrÿche is collaborating with producer Zeuss on a new album and is set to embark on a European tour in the summer of 2026. Additionally, Bachman and Cummings recently reunited for their first Guess Who performance in 23 years, while Megadeth achieved their first Billboard 200 No. 1 album with their latest release.
